Why did Nader enter as soon as Obama became a certainty to win?

Did Nader agree to enter the presidential race because he knows he's a spoiler for the Dems and knows that he will get McCain elected president? Could Nader just be an anarchist who, through McCain, wants our sordid govt to end?
