For my theist AND atheist friends: is the Christian concept of "free will" as nauseating to you as it is to me?

Using the simplest and most effective form of logic; how can any of our earthly actions be considered "free will", if there is some kind of mythical being that has, through omniscience, determined them for us ahead of time?!
